Bible Study Opportunities

Bible Study

At Trinity our hope is that adults will participate in Bible studies while the children are part of Spot L.I.G.H.T. on Sunday mornings. With this goal in mind, we offer two education hours on Sunday mornings at 8:15 and 9:30.

Adult studies are scheduled on a 12-week cycle with a Sunday for fellowship in between each quarter. The opportunities offered are varied and range from books of the Bible to parenting and family classes.

Building My Life On the Bible

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Matt 7:24 What does it mean to build our life on God’s Word as they are found in the Bible?

Look forward to upcoming opportunities as we embark on Bible Study emphasis:

An opportunity of the Bible study emphasis is the Two-year Bible reading program that began on February 11, 2013. Won’t you consider taking part in the two year Bible study program? The time you spend in reading God’s Word will be a rich blessing to you.

Experiencing God

Leader: Trent Davis Room 147-149
Sundays at 8:15 am
"I thought I knew what it meant to be a Christian and to walk with God. But after studying this material I realize that, although I was a religious person, I did not really know what it meant to enjoy a personal relationship with God." That is the heart of this study—to move you from merely being religious to having a vibrant, real, growing relationship with God.

Over the years, many people have found the truths of Experiencing God to be a key to a better understanding of what God is doing in the world and in their lives. Through the DVD sessions, some self-study, and most importantly God’s Word, participants in this class will come to know God more intimately, to recognize His voice, and to understand how He communicates His will for their lives.

Goals the participants will gain through this study:

  • Know when God is speaking to them.
  • Recognize and respond to God’s activity around them.
  • Adjust their lives to God and His ways.
  • Identify what God wants to do through them.
  • Understand and appreciate more of God’s Word.

FaithWeaver

Leaders: Various Room 147-149
Sundays: 9:30 am
This class is for anyone interested in a different approach to Bible study. Any adult will gain valuable insight into God’s Word through this series of studies. The class will especially appeal to parents who have children in Children’s Ministry classes for Kindergarten-Fifth Grade. Parents and children will be studying the same Bible text! This gives parents an opportunity to learn more about the Bible as well as a chance to carry on some meaningful conversations on the way home from church or at home after church.

Goals the participants will gain through this study:

  • To help families learn the same Bible passage in age-appropriate ways.
  • To have adults experience the Bible in ways they haven’t before.
  • To experience a Bible study if you haven’t been part of one before.
  • To share with other adults in growing together in God’s Word and Fellowship.
  • To share with others in leading this study—material is VERY leader friendly.

Leaders:
Sundays 8:15 am Dave Wilcox Room 143-145
Sundays 9:30 am Wally Bergmann Room 140-144
Saturdays 9:30 am Chuck Bahn Room 147-149

These are not always the easiest books to read, but we can gain greater insight when we read and discuss them together.

Goals of this study are to:

  • Gain insight into God’s Word through reading individually and discussing with others.
  • Provide an opportunity to bring questions you may have from God’s Word.
  • Share with others insight you gained through God’s Word.
