Senior Pastor . . . Thomas Wirsing
Pastor Wirsing was born and raised in Auburn, Michigan; growing up on a farm in the Saginaw Valley. He is a graduate of Concordia Junior College, Ann Arbor, Michigan; Concordia Senior College, Fort Wayne, Indiana; Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri. He has served at Trinity since 1995.
On August 7, 1976, he was married to wife Janice from Dundee, Illinois. She is a teacher in Trinity's grade school. They have two children, Tara and Thomas.
In his leisure time, Pastor Wirsing enjoys reading American history and painting pewter toy soldiers.

Associate Pastor . . . Allen Steinbeck

Pastor Steinbeck was born & raised in Paso Robles, California. He graduated from Concordia College, Portland, Oregon (1983) and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri (1988). He formerly served two congregations in the Detroit area (1988-1997), and has been serving here at Trinity since.
In addition to teaching and preaching, Pastor Steinbeck works closely with congregational leaders in the areas of Fellowship and Stewardship & coordinates Trinity's visitation.
He and his wife Lisa have two children (a third is already at home with the Lord).

Assistant Pastor . . . Chris Nitzel

Pastor Nitzel was born and raised in Spencer, Iowa. He graduated form Concordia University, St. Paul, Minnesota (2002) and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri (2006). He has served at Trinity since 2006.
On June 22, 2002 he was married to his wife Heather from Pine City, Minnesota. She is a teacher at Trinity’s grade school. They have been blessed with two children, Aiden and Josiah.
In addition to teaching and preaching, Pastor Nitzel works closely with congregational leaders in the areas of Assimilation, Witness, and Young Adults.

Director of Christian Growth . . . Chuck Bahn

Mr. Chuck Bahn is a Director of Christian Education who serves as Director of Christian Growth. His areas of ministry include the church nursery, children's ministry, confirmation classes, men's ministry, Stephen Ministry, adult Bible Studies, Small group Bible studies, nursery roll, the church library and vacation Bible school. Chuck is a native of Pennsylvania and a graduate of Concordia University, Irvine, CA. Chuck is married and has three children. He has been at Trinity since 1993.

Director of Family Life Ministry . . . Mary Bloebaum

Mary Bloebaum is the Director of Family Life Ministries at Trinity, where she has served since her internship in 1997. She is a graduate of Concordia, Chicago in 1998 with a Director of Christian Education Degree and Certificate in Elementary Education. In 2006 she received her Masters in Family Life Ministry from Concordia University, Seward, NE. She praises God for the opportunity to serve among amazing youth and families! Some things she loves include: mission trips, running, hanging out with people, scrapbooking, and her best friend whom she married, Brett Bloebaum!

Director of Youth Ministry . . . Jim Bargmann

Jim Bargmann serves as the Director of Youth Ministries at Trinity. He has served in this role since October 2010. He graduated from Concordia University, St. Paul, MN in 1999 as a Director of Christian Education, specializing in Youth Ministry and Family Ministry. He has served in two other congregations, both in Minnesota, before accepting the call to serve at Trinity. He is what is known as a KINDLE Associate, having completed the year-long leadership development program called KINDLE in 2009. Jim has a passion for investing in the lives of teens, empowering leaders, and more. He is married to Angela, a music educator, and they have one son, Nathan, born in 2007. In his free time, Jim enjoys bike riding, traveling, photography, hiking, camping, and watching trains and airplanes with Nathan.

Director of Music . . . Nancy Fuemmeler

Mrs. Nancy Fuemmeler teaches general vocal music for grades K-8. She also conducts the Trinity Adult Choir, Notes of Praise worship band, Sonshine Choir and the Junior High Choir. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a B. S. in Music Education, K-12 and Illinois State University with a M. of Music Ed. Mrs. Fuemmeler has taught music in Columbia, MO Public Schools, Lafayette School Corporation in Lafayette, IN, and Trinity Lutheran School since 1994. She is married to Kirk. They have two daughters, Sarah and Leah.

Director of Contemporary Music . . . Mark Heidloff

Mark Heidloff, Director of Contemporary Worship, plays keyboards and leads the Praise Band and Vocal Teams at Trinity's contemporary services. Mark supports the other staff members with creative help in worship, as well as assisting with sound systems, video editing for PowerPoint presentations, and support for the Pastor's in sermon preparation. Mark also accompanies chapel services, records and edits puppet skits, and plays piano for memorial services at Heritage manor in Normal, serving alongside Trinity's Pastors.

Director of Finance . . . Scott Hoeft

Scott started working at Trinity Lutheran Church and School as Director of Finance in 1999. He is responsible for the financial management of the Church and School. Scott's duties also include overseeing the grounds and properties at the Madison Street and Hamilton Road locations.

Financial Assistant . . . Nancy Rinda

Nancy Rinda grew up in Southern Illinois. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University and was an Operations Officer for a bank in St. Louis for 8 years before getting married and moving to Bloomington/Normal. She has two children and been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1991. She has been employed with Trinity since 2004.

Administrative Assistant . . . Karen Leesman

Karen grew up in central Illinois and graduated with a Bachelors degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, in 1973. She received a Masters degree in hospital administration from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1980 and worked in the field of healthcare administration for many years. She became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in 1994 and joined the staff as Administrative Assistant in 1999. Her responsibilities include support of the senior pastor and his administrative duties; management of the membership database and attendance; liaison to committees and boards of the congregation; assistance in project planning and strategic planning efforts; and arranging new member classes, baptisms, weddings and funerals. Karen is married to Robert and has two children. She especially enjoys singing in the choir, participating in Trinity's mission trips, and sharing the love of Christ.

Communications . . . Becky Schutte

Becky Schutte joined the family of Trinity Lutheran Church in 1984 and has been employed at Trinity since 2001. She is responsible for print media, including Cross Currents, Messenger, and worship folders; technology at the church and school; the video ministry; advertising and public relations. She is pleased to have worked with Shann Elble of Palindrome Graphics on the development of this website. Becky is always honored to serve God’s people, and she welcomes your comments and feedback.
