L.I.F.E. Groups

As we read in the book of Acts, when the Christian church was getting its start, the believers met together as a large group and in smaller groups in the homes of the believers. Today, we meet together for worship in large groups on Sunday morning and Wednesday nights.

L.I.F.E. Groups = Living in Faith Everywhere

The L.I.F.E. Groups will gather around five key elements: Prayer, Teaching, Worship, Community and Care, and Missional Service.

Two New LIFE Groups Forming

One is for couples married 3 years or less; it will start with the Love & Respect study. The second is for young adults 24-27 years old; it will explore the daily challenges you face as young adults, and other topics that are frequently on your hearts and minds. This group will be led by Ashley Ropp. To learn more or to register email Chuck Bahn or call 834-3203

LIFE Groups are an opportunity for 6-20 people to connect regularly on their journey through life. They help each other grow closer in their relationship with God and with each other. A trained leader facilitates and encourages the group's conversation and activities. LIFE Groups meet around friendly conversation, refreshments, fellowship, and the topic discussion.
LIFE Groups meet on various days of the week and at a variety of times and locations. Not only that, groups have a unique look and feel based on the different interests and life experiences of the members.

How Do I Join a LIFE Group?

1. Beginning Sunday, September 9th you will have an opportunity during worship to join a group or request more information about a group. When you complete your member or visitor registration card, you can simply write the group letter and number on that line of the card. When you pass your card in, we will help connect you to the group of your choosing or we will be in touch with you to answer questions about any group

2. You may also email Chuck Bahn, Director of Christian Growth or call 834-3203 or Tandy Allison, Lay Director of Christian Growth at 828-3485.

3. To inquire about joining a LIFE Group you may fill out this online form and we will contact you with confirmation.

Five Elements of Life Groups

These are the five things that are part of every LIFE Group. Some groups may focus on one area more than the others.

  • PRAYER-Thanksgiving and petitions within the group and outside the group.
  • TEACHING-(biblical equipping) emphasis on how God¡¦s Word, with the power of the Holy Spirit, directs and empowers disciples to live their faith in life.
  • WORSHIP- groups will share in some element of praising God and being open to God¡¦s presence in the group, group members will be equipped to worship on a daily basis.
  • CARE AND CONCERN (internal) - building fellowship within the group members and caring for the needs of others.
  • MISSIONAL SERVICE (external) -group members seek to reach beyond their group to show and share Christ¡¦s love through their words and actions.

LIFE Groups

If you have a group of friends you would like to gather with on a more regular basis to enjoy each other’s company, we can help you form a LIFE Group. Maybe you have an interest in movies, books, sporting events, or a particular hobby. Maybe it would be fun to meet with some friends on a more regular basis for lunch or dinner. In this day of various electronic forms of connecting with people, sometimes it’s just nice to sit down with others to catch up on the day, share joys and to celebrate what we have in common.

As you learn to recognize and welcome Christ's presence into every moment, ordinary days become filled with a tangible sense of God's presence. Suddenly, you are experi-encing all of life with God -- not just Sundays or 'quiet times'. Even more, He is transforming you in the process. You begin to experience the kind of ongoing, close connection to God you've longed for.

When Godly People Do Ungodly Things

This DVD-based study will examine why devoted followers of Christ can fall into the traps of Satan.
