Responsibilities of Membership

The members of Trinity Lutheran Church are committed to:

  • Worship on a regular basis.
  • Partake faithfully in the Lord’s Supper.
  • Participate in Bible study on a regular basis.
  • Serve in the ministries of Trinity Lutheran Church through their time, talents, and treasures.
  • Support Christian education through our Trinity Lutheran School.

Becoming a Member of Trinity

New Member Class (Adult Information Class)

We will be conducting another set of new member classes beginning Sunday, Dec. 4 at 8:15 am at the church for those who may want to join our church or who just want to learn what we, as Lutherans believe. Reviewers are also most welcome to join us. Please email Pastor Nitzel or call the church office at 828-6265.

If you are not a member of a Missouri Synod Lutheran church and would like to become a member of Trinity Lutheran please contact the church office.
You will be invited to attend adult confirmation classes offered several times a year. The 12 weekly classes culminate in Adult Confirmation during a worship service.

Opportunities to Gather...

There are many opportunities to Trinity to meet, greet, and get to know fellow members of the body of Christ, as well as draw others into relationship with him.

  • Sunday Morning Fellowship
    Gather around tables with fellow Christians over donuts and beverages every Sunday morning, 8-10:30 in rooms 140-4.
  • Quarterly Fellowship Brunch
    Brunch is served! All are invited to join us on the first Sunday of the month in March, June, September, and December, 8-10:30 am, rooms 140-4, 143-149.
  • Lenten Meals
    Beginning on Ash Wednesday and continuing for six consecutive weeks, meals are served in the church gym from 4:30-6:00 pm to accommodate those who worship at 4:15 as well as those who worship at 6:00. Volunteers are always needed to help prepare and serve meals, make homemade desserts, set up and take down tables and chairs, or clean up. If you would like to help with Lenten Meals, please email the church office or call (309) 828-6265.
  • Golden Anniversary Banquet
    Early each May, Trinity hosts a banquet honoring couples who've been married 50 years or more. The couples are our guests, and they are recognized in our 11:00 worship service. Their families and friends are invited to attend and may purchase a ticket to cover the cost of their meal. New couples to the group tell of their special day as they are interviewed by our senior pastor.
