The Young Adult ministry seeks to serve those who are
college age and older by providing many different fellowship events, servant events,
sports activities, and college age ministry tools.
We
have monthly fellowship or servant events in which we have opportunity to go in
our relationships together and with God.

A few weeks ago, our Synod announced the launch of a
new web site focused on connecting and supporting college students, their congregations,
and campus ministries. It is called LCMS
U. The green collegiate block U, blue pennent, and white cross represent
our Witness, Mercy, and Life Together on campus.
The
purpose of this site is provide a place where we can encourage, support, and aid
students, faculty, and staff as they respond to the challenges to the truth of
Godˇ¦s Word they face as Christians on college campuses, so that they can boldly
bear witness to Christ.
LCMS U will start off with four
primary goals:
conducting a chapter drive to increase
the LCMS campus ministry network
offering training to those interested
in starting, or refocusing, a campus ministry,
increasing student involvement
in campus ministries
continuing the synod's sponsorship of national campus
ministry conferences.
This appears to be an excellent
website and resource for our young adults as they grow in their faith and grow
in their ability to serve our God during their college years.
While
the initiative is still relatively new, you can check it out at lcms.org/lcmsu
or on Facebook. Be sure to revisit, over and over again, as it continues to develop
and expand!

Job
28:12 poses a question that many in our age ask; "But where can wisdom be found?
Where does understanding dwell?” As Christians, we know the answer is in our Lord.
Proverbs 2:6 affirms this very well: “For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his
mouth come knowledge and understanding.”
For those students
attending college in the Bloomington Normal area, we look forward to the College
ministry opportunities at Wittenberg Lutheran Center. If you will be in the Bloomington
Normal area for college, enjoy the blessings of Wittenberg as resource for Bible
Study and great fellowship opportunities. We look forward to supporting our local
campus ministry by promoting events on our young adult’s page on our website.
Prayer Partners Prayer is an important part of
our relationship with God. We would love to match you up with someone who will
have a prayer partner relationship with you. This person will be someone who will
be praying for you, supporting you, and you can communicate any prayer requests
and needs to them to assist you as you grow and learn at school.
